In some cases milk was used to create a luster effect on the glass. They sooner or later ended up termed Kakamba Prosser beads, named after the town within the Republic of Congo in which they have been traded. Prosser beads started to slide away from favor from the early 1900’s when extra elaborate glass bead layouts were introduced in Africa. Th
